As you navigate through our web-site you will discover that, while the cornerstone of our breeding program naturally is the world famous BOOMERNIC, Silver Spurs has four stallions by the other million dollar sires. With these stallions and our Boomernic mares, we combine the best of the Boomernic line with the best of the other Million Dollar Sires.

DESIGNER GENES

We have 5 fabulous 3 year-old mares by Boomernic (all out of famous mares, three out of Annarilla Chex and two out of Miss Tucker Command) and complete embryo transfer facilities and expertise directed by Dr. Mark Arns, PhD, professor of Equine Science at the University of Arizona. Our Embryo transfer program will enable you to select exactly which blood line you wish to combine with Boomernic. We can sell and ship frozen embryos or keep the recipient mare at our facility until she foals. Click here to learn more about the Designer Genes program.

We also have 14 excellent brood mares that we will be breeding with each of our stallions that will combine the best attributes of each sire and dam. These foals will be pastured at our facility in Congress, Arizona then, as long yearlings, be brought to our training facility in Cave Creek, Arizona to begin our rigorous training program to become Champion Reiners.

TRAINING PROGRAM

Where the old school meets the future.

In addition to our horses, what makes Silver Spurs so special is its Training Director, the one and only Brett Stone. While Brett really needs no introduction, he is a 26-time World and National Reining Champion as well as the winner of the most coveted title in the sport of Reining - the winner of the 1992 NRHA Reining Futurity which he won on none other than Boomernic. Brett's proudest achievement though was when he conducted the Reining Demonstration Clinic at the 1996 Reining Futurity. Brett was intricately involved with the designing and planning of Silver Spurs from its inception and is determined to make it the premier breeding and training facility for the sport of Reining in the United States. Brett has done so much for the world of Reining and seeing him doing what he has elevated to a form of art, training a horse to become champion Reiner, is truly an experience that no serious Reiner should miss.

Outside Horses

While the primary purpose of our training program is to train our own horses for competition and sale, we occasionally have a few slots open for training and showing outside horses. If you are interested please contact us to see if there is an open slot. If your horse is able to come into our training program, rest assured, we will evaluate your horse and let you know within three months if your horse meets our standards and has the potential to become a champion. Our time and your money are precious commodities; we can not and will not waste either.

HORSE SALES

When you've seen all the rest and now want the best.

Beginning in the fall of 2007 Silver Spurs will conduct its annual prospect sale. During the year, however, we will offer horses for sale when Brett says they are ready. You can find them in the "Horses for Sale" section of our web-site.

All sales are made under the direction of our Procurement and Sales Director, Mr. Doug Carpenter. Doug is known throughout the Reining industry and has an impeccable reputation. His eye for spotting talent in a horse is unparalleled. All of our stallions were hand picked by Doug. In fact, it was Doug Carpenter that found Boomernic for Brett Stone, and there are many other Futurity winners that can credit Doug for finding them that special horse.

We are very excited about Boomernic's 2007 two and three-year old crop and are extremely confident that "Boomernics" will dominate the 2007 and 2008 show seasons. Naturally, all of our Boomernic prospects and foals from horses bred to Boomernic in 2007 are eligible for the Silver Spurs Boomernic Incentive Award and it would be our pleasure to present you with a $50,000, or $30,000 check on December 1st at this year's NRHA Futurity.
